Windy City Christmas

D.B. and I haven't been in Chicago during Christmas time since the first year we were dating. We decided this year, since we are so close, we would head down to the city even if it was for a super short trip.

During our day there we had a great lunch with Kevin, Kris, and baby Tess Kribs, Kevin is a good friend of D.B.'s from Notre Dame. After lunch we walked around Michigan Avenue and took in all of holiday sights. We had a great dinner and then headed home the next morning after breakfast with April, Mike, and baby Jake (more ND friends).

The top half of the Marshall Fields (Macy's) Tree:Next trip down will hopefully be soon, in order to visit more friends. It so nice being close to Chicago again, and it will always remind me of the first year we were together...even though this picture is from this year.
