Right around June 1st (I think) the hubs and I took off for a week while GG stayed back with Little Miss. One might consider this our 5 year anniversary trip, and one might consider a trip like this necessary every anniversary from here on out :)
We flew from Chicago to Shannon Ireland by way of Newark, and somehow landed about an hour early. We couldn't pick up our rental car early so we sat, drank coffee/tea, and mapped out our journey.
First stop was a little town called Dingle right on the Dingle Peninsula. The Dingle Peninsula is one of the most western parts of the country on the south end, and it was beautiful...despite the weather. The weather was rainy and in the 50's (think Seattle). We spent the afternoon driving around the peninsula and taking in the beauty of Ireland.
Seriously, there are a lot of sheep too!
Later that evening we had an wonderful dinner
Then headed back to our Bed and Breakfast and were asleep by 8pm. With the time change, we figured we were up for about 32 straight hours as there was not much plane sleep to be had.
After a wonderful breakfast the next morning we headed back into town, walked around a bit (in the rain) and headed to Mass followed by coffee.
Then we hit the road for our next destination, Killarney.
Sorry for how gray the pictures look, I told you it was rainy!

How WONDERFUL to have a fun trip like that...JUST THE TWO OF YOU! Definitely a necessity!
