Amy is my best friend from Chicago, John is her hubby, and Oliver (aka Ollie) is their 10 month old adorable little man. I had not seen Amy since she had just found out she was pregnant, so this visit was long over due. Luckily for all parties involved, John's entire extended family lives here in Madison! A family event brought the Haug's up, but we were sure to take advantage of their trip by having them stay at our house a few nights, meet Oliver and introduce them to our crazy pup. The love between Molly and Ollie was mutual and instantaneous.
They did get to be closer than this, but this allowed all of the grown-ups a little more freedom, and neither of them seemed to mind at all.
During their visit with us Amy and I did some pretty great house shopping, which you will see in upcoming blogs. We had a wonderful dinner together, where D.B. and I watched as Oliver ate all things gourmet. We caught up on old times and talked about how great it was that we would be able to see each other at least a couple of times a year now!
Thanks for staying with us John, Amy and Oliver, it was a blast with some serious excitement to be had!
