Yesterday Colbie turned 5 months old, and it turns out that the older kids get the shorter amount of time they are willing to hold still and just smile for the camera. I give you our 5-month photo shoot:
As of last Thursday Colbie weighed 13 pounds 10 ounces (with a onesie and dry diaper on), which continues her percentile right along the 25% curve. I didn't measure her length, but I'm thinking not too much has changed there either.
Little Miss continues to prefer sitting and standing over lying, and really could care less if she ever rolls from back to front.
She decided a couple of weeks ago that sleeping through the night was for the birds and instead thought being held while she slept was a fantastic plan. I'm happy to report that each night is getting a little better and she is changing her mind about being held as much...at least at night time.
Oh, and taking naps, also for the birds. We would care a little bit more if she were a crab-apple, but even with little sleep during the day, she continues to be the world's happiest baby!
If she catches anyone eating, she will stare them down and smack her lips. I'm thinking she is sending some pretty clear signals to put some solid food in her mouth. The plan is to start this week so stay tuned for pictures of that.
Colbie and Molly are starting to become BFF's, and Colbie thinks it's hilarious when Molly licks her hands. She loves to pat Molly too, and the hound is a good sport as it means finally she is getting a little attention again.
Seriously baby girl, you are the sweetest thing ever.
We just started with rice cereal LAST NIGHT! Like Colbie, Isaac's head turns with every movement of a utensil or cup. We'll be posting about it soon. Glad to see our November 9 peanuts are moving along so nicely.
ReplyDeleteAwww...happy birthday Colbie!
ReplyDeleteI gave my new niece, Quinn, those same stickers and she got to use her very first one on Friday! :)
Great photos and captions, as always. We love seeing her grow, even her just doing normal things is great to see too! Don't worry about outdoing yourself with better and better blogs. :)
