Sydney (aka Sydey, Syders, Syd Syd, number two, Small Fry) is seriously so.much.fun! This baby girl is so happy and as soon as you look in her direction she gives the biggest cheese ball grins you’ve ever seen. In addition to happy, she is FAST! While on vacation, she went from “inch worming” to full on crawling...fast, to pulling up to a stand. Oh, and then yesterday, she climbed a stair! For the record, Colbie rolled for the first time when she was eight months old, so we weren’t exactly ready for the turbo charged baby :)
I have to admit, I love how much she is filling up this laundry basket now. I’m glad she is loving it too!
And as of this month, the rocking chair pictures have become officially dangerous.
My assistant photographer!
And as for that assistant photographer, she happens to be Syd’s favorite person ever!!!
Felt bad doing it, but I scored an uninterrupted shower by doing this.
Crawling EVERYWHERE these days!
And with this pulling to a stand business, we had the joy of having to drop the crib back down. Luckily Daddy had a very helpful assistant!
Did I mention, she is the World’s Happiest Baby?!?!?!
In addition to crawling, standing and stair climbing, Syd has a lot to say these days. She does a lot of joyful (very loud) shouting, and also says dada, mama, nih nih, nom nom, and ba. I have no doubts that we another talker on our hands :). Oh, and so far Small Fry as two teeth!
Favs these days:
- Eating (we are up to three meals a day now and puffs and mum mums as finger food!)
- Playing in the dog’s water dish
- Playing in the basement where she isn’t constantly having to be redirected
- Spitting up while crawling, then sitting and splashing in it (super super gross). This only happens if our backs are turned and we don’t see her spit up right away.
- Being in the pool
- Her sister
- Peek-a-boo
- Dance parties
- Story time
- Seeking out anything dangerous she can find.
- Bath time
Serious dislikes:
- Being redirected
- Having anything taken away from her (especially the dangerous things)
- Having to get out of the bath tub
- Seeing a bottle and then having to wait for it.
