Chelan 2011

So after two days in Seattle, we were Chelan bound. If you don't remember from year's past, this is a resort lake in central Washington that the hubs has basically spent a week at every summer of his existence. This year was especially exciting because his mom recently bought a condo on the lake!

Much of our time was spent lounging at the 90 degree pool, visiting with friends and family and going out on the boat with our good friends, Virg and Cheryl, who also happen to reside in Chelan during the summer months. Before D.B.'s mom's condo, we would stay at Virg and Cheryl's place.

Here are a lot of pictures of our time in Chelan to make up for my complete lack of pictures taken while in Seattle:

Next day we hit the pool while the sun was still high in the sky so we stayed warm the whole time, and C. had a blast showing Grandma, Aunt K.C. and daddy how she can kick and splash.

And lucky for us, we got to enjoy a lot of time on the boat, because despite the life jacket, C. loved it, finding it both fun and relaxing.

Asleep on Aunt K.C. (P.S. if you are wondering how Aunt K.C. has abs like that, she does hot yoga, eats WAY healthier than I do, and doesn't have kids...not that I birthed my, but that's beside the point).

Cozy with Grandma

On this trip out to Washington Colbie finally got to meet her Great Uncle Stan, Auntie Kim, and cousin Peyton. After waiting 9 months to meet them, it didn't take her long at all to get acquainted.

In addition to boating, swimming, catching up, and relaxing, there was a lot of time spent gathered around watching "The Colbie Show". At one point there were six of us (and four different cameras) gathered around watching C. go nuts rolling around on the ground and wrestling the big gorilla.

And...mommy and daddy's backs got a little bit of a break because there were others to do this for us:

Seriously, the girl could walk around all day like this if we would let her!

Overall Chelan 2011 was a great success and I feel so blessed that Colbie gets to grow up making summer memories here just like her daddy did.

On a sad note for the hubs, this is the first year that he did NOT get pulled behind the boat on a ski. He's a total water snob, and never got smooth enough water, or something like that :)
