May 11th was the one year anniversary of Colbie's adoption becoming finalized, aka Colbie's Adoption Day. Unfortunately the hubs had to be in Bethesda, MD for a meeting and couldn't celebrate with us, but luckily Colbie's GG came to fill in for daddy. And let's face it, anytime GG comes to visit, it's one big party for little C.
In addition to walks, and dance parties, and a little shopping, we celebrated by taking Colbie to Ella's Deli. She has been there before, but because we were celebrating something special, there were a few bonus for her:
A balloon,
A sundae,
which she took one bite of and then just spent the rest of the time spoon feeding us:
and a free ride on the carousel!!
Which was all fun and games until the ride stopped.
And although we were sad when GG went home, we had a GREAT time seeing the big boat that she road on. C continues to say, "GG, boat, agua" pretty much every day.
Oh, and if you forgot, or have never heard the story of how Colbie's original Adoption Day went, here's the recap.

I love that last picture of your mom with Colbie. She looks like such a big girl.
ReplyDeleteHappy 1-year Adoption Day! :)
I completely agree with Corrie! Colbie looks like an 18 year old in a toddler's body! Happy Anniversary with your forever family, C!!! We love you :)
