Our Fish

C has been talking swimming lessons since the beginning of the year, and let me tell you, she has turned into a bit of a fish!  She loves the water, and has become a pro and floating on her back, kicking, splashing, bubble blowing, and going under water.

Last week the hubs finally got to join us for lessons, which it turns out C was less than thrilled about.  Usually she is all smiles during the entire 30 minute lesson.  I'm not sure if she cracked a smile once, despite my constant reassurance that daddy wouldn't drop her.

Mat time!  This is where we sing songs and practice jumping off and climbing back on.  Another favorite of Colbie's.

Back floats, aka Twinkle Twinkle, because that's what we sing.  C loves back floating and is really good at it.  This has become a life saver during bath time when it's time to rinse shampoo out of her hair.

And this is what happens every single week when class is over.  We are so sad to have to get out of the pool.

Luckily, once we are all dressed, we get to stop and look at all of the fish!  Another must every Thursday morning!

Our pool is almost officially opened for the season and Colbie is spending a lot of time looking out the back window repeating, "pool pool pool".  I'm thinking we will be able to get some pictures of her smiling soon!
