The second half of our California trip was spent with the Davis's. Sara is my BFF from Seattle who recently (with her hubs and two girls of course) relocated to sunny California. It was such a treat to be able to see the Davis's again, and to meet their newest edition, Gemma who is about six weeks older that Colbie. They of course were equally as excited to meet C. but we were all excited for the girl's to become best friends, which they did of course.
It was at this moment that I wondered, "Why did we chose the snowy midwest again?"
After lunch Lily did her best to help Colbie onto the sand,
We did all sorts of coaxing

And then is was one small step for baby and one large flood gate of tears that broke open.

It didn't take C. too long to realize that the beach is not her enemy.

Before we knew it, she was loving it and ready to explore.
After our picnic (did I mention it was November!) we caravanned to see the new house that Sara & Co. had just bought. We were excited to be there when they officially got their keys!

Now...C. and I can't wait to get on the plane again to head back and spend some time at the new place!
Thank you so much for hosting us and showing us a great time Alex, Sara, Lily, and Gemma! We can't wait to see you again soon.
AWWWW! It looks like Colbie adjusted to the beach life pretty quickly!
ReplyDeleteWhen I see pictures like these it makes me re think living in New York! LOL!
