Road Trip Day 2: Rave Runs and Old Friends
We woke up early in Coeur d'Alene day two of our road trip and immediately went on our first "rave run". Each month in our Runner's World magazine they feature someone's rave run, and we love collecting the shots ourselves. Her Hillary is running along Lake Coeur d'Alene.
After a quick shower we hit the road and headed east through Idaho and into Montana. Montana was beautiful with rolling hills, big blue skies, and no traffic! We made a pit stop in Missoula to check out the town and see the University of Montana campus and stadium, all which were pretty amazing.
Awhile later we stopped for lunch in the buzzing metropolis of Drummond, population 330. Our lunch at The Wagon Wheel Motel & Cafe was good and prepared us for the last leg of the day's trip. Next stop Yellowstone.
We arrived in Yellowstone without incident (way to go Stratus!) and immediatly met up with Jean, a friend of Hillary's from her Camp Laurel days. A great dinner followed by ice cream and exploring West Yellowstone including the painted bison concluded our day.
Day 3 there are going to be bears, we just know it!
